About the Role

Circle is a leading financial technology company that is revolutionizing the way we think about money and commerce. As a Senior Accountant, External and Regulatory Reporting, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's financial and regulatory reporting processes across our domestic and international entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in and assist in improving the company's various external reporting and regulatory reporting processes.
  • Perform analysis and research related to various reporting requirements and build sustainable processes to comply.
  • Draft and maintain external reporting and regulatory reporting policies and procedures and partner with various stakeholders to operationalize.
  • Present external reporting and regulatory requirements, relevant communications, and analyses to the accounting and finance team in a clear and concise manner.
  • Implement and educate accounting teams of necessary changes to adopt and comply with new reporting and disclosure requirements.
  • Evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's accounting policies and processes, including ensuring compliance with US GAAP/SEC and other international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate reporting and regulatory knowledge sharing and transfer across the organization.
  • Assist with special projects and other ad hoc assignments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Certified Public Accountant.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience, including public accounting and industry-specific experience.
  • Working technical knowledge of US GAAP/SEC and international accounting standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to change.
  • Experience with SOX 404 and internal control over financial reporting.
  • Experience with Workiva or similar reporting system.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP.
  • Demonstrated professional commitment, initiative, accountability, and ownership of assignments.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate and present in group meetings.
  • Experience working in regulated business, financial services, or technology industries is a plus.
  • High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally, able to manage multiple priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS, and GSuite.
