Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Observation Unit setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with our healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse in an emergency room or acute care environment.
  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse License (Virginia) within 6 months of hire AND Registered Nurse License (Maryland) within 6 months of hire.
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with patient populations ranging from infant to geriatrics.
  • Experience in IV therapy.
  • BSN.
Work Environment

This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week, with a mix of day and evening shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
