Job Title: Radiologic Technologist - Capitol Hill

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Capitol Hill Medical Center. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for taking x-ray exposures of patients, explaining procedures to patients, and reviewing films to ensure accurate images. Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients, confirm image requirements, and explain x-ray procedures to patients.
• Review patients' medical history prior to performing x-ray procedures and confirm that patients have signed consent forms if necessary.
• Take x-ray exposures of patients following established protocols for position, radiation intensity, and exposure time.
• Process films and inspect images to ensure they meet radiologist requirements.
• Maintain equipment, examination rooms, and store films, while keeping inventory of related supplies.
• Prepare patient information files and submit reports showing the number and type of x-rays taken.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
• Completion of formal training in radiologic technology.
• Radiologic Technologist License (District of Columbia) and Basic Life Support certification required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift at least 50 pounds, hear, speak, and see effectively.
• Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a radiologic technologist preferred.

Work Environment:

This is a variable shift position, with a call-in/on-call schedule. The employee will work at Capitol Hill Medical Center, with occasional travel required (10% of the time).
