Position Overview

Faulkner University is in search of two skilled professionals to fulfill the role of Math Tutors under the Title III grant from the Department of Education. The selected candidates will engage in providing mathematics support to adult learners at Faulkner University. Additionally, these individuals will assist the Project Director with various administrative tasks.

Each role is part-time, requiring approximately 25 hours of commitment per week.

These positions are funded for a duration of three years, with the possibility of extension depending on grant renewal or university funding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tutoring across all levels of mathematics, at least up to Calculus I
  • Maintain accurate records of student lab usage
  • Support students with a variety of mathematics-related inquiries
  • Execute clerical tasks, including the preparation and submission of reports

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Secondary Education Mathematics is required
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in Mathematics or Secondary Education Mathematics
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
    • Active participation in the churches of Christ
