About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Graphic Designer to join our team at dPOP. As a key member of our design studio, you will be responsible for leading the design of large and small-scale custom environmental graphics projects, from pre-design to project coordination.

Your expertise will be essential in developing design narratives within project teams, creating custom designs for wall coverings, large-format graphics, wayfinding, and signage, as well as 2D and 3D fabricated design installations, digital design renderings, and mockups.

You will interact with clients to understand their existing branding and culture, developing purposeful designs that meet their needs. Your ability to articulate concepts, layouts, and innovative design solutions will be crucial in driving the success of our projects.

As a Senior Environmental Graphic Designer, you will lead design critiques and charrettes with the design team and senior leadership, manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination to ensure all client goals and objectives are met.

You will establish and maintain ongoing relationships built on trust with external clients, vendors, and other construction disciplines, and manage client interaction and decision-making related to design intent and lead client presentations.

Additionally, you will quote materials with high attention to detail, oversee fabrication and installation, and maintain strong client communication throughout the entire design and installation process.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate or bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • 8+ years of professional experience in a graphic or environmental graphic design role
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • High proficiency in a 3D modeling software, including but not limited to AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino
  • Advanced graphic and verbal presentation skills, including hand sketching, required
  • Experience in specifying material for various substrate applications and knowledge of fabrication methods

  • Ability to travel periodically
