As an Electrical Systems Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of the team throughout the project's development
  • Establishing client relations and participating in marketing, design, and production meetings regarding electrical systems
  • Assuming the electrical lead on many projects
  • Participating in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Conducting schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect, and other disciplines
  • Coordinating workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
  • Tracking the financial aspects of projects and coordinating and adjusting the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule
  • Working with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management as needed
  • Directing the activities of other electrical engineering professionals and acting as a mentor to other staff members as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis

Previous data center/mission critical experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired

Preference given to local candidates

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis

A minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)

Professional Engineer (PE) license

Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting, and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems

Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software

An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
