Facilities Systems Technician

P1 Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Facilities Systems Technician to join our team. As a Facilities Systems Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and testing mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, and fire & life safety systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Inspect and test mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, and fire & life safety systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  2. Diagnose and repair equipment and systems as needed.
  3. Apply safety precautions to prevent injury and damage to equipment.
  4. Service batteries and troubleshoot electrical systems.
  5. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits, appliances, systems, facilities, and related electrical controls and devices.
  6. Perform preventive maintenance and testing of equipment.
  7. Oversee and work on fire detection systems and fire suppression systems as needed.
  8. Operate and maintain medium voltage emergency power systems, including emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, and medium voltage electrical distribution switchgear.
  9. Operate and maintain Swiss Log tube transport systems, including blowers, transfer units, and stations in a multi-building, multi-point system.
  10. Be willing to receive training and off-site factory certification in the systems you are tasked to maintain.
  11. Be willing to support testing and documentation for both Joint Commission and State Fire Marshal compliance.
  12. Operate and maintain a multi-building, multi-point fire sprinkler suppression system, including AFFF helipad foam suppression systems, fire pumps, and both pre-action and dry suppression systems.
  13. Must be proficient and have good working knowledge of Building Management Systems.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in a construction-related discipline or 0-3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
  2. 0-3 years minimum of work experience in planning, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems by following written operating procedures.
  3. Ability to meet P1 Group qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business.
  4. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
