Position Summary:

We are seeking a Field Support Engineer to enhance our product development efforts. This role involves overseeing the commissioning and startup of electric vehicles (EVs) at various locations, ensuring they meet performance standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of technical assemblers.
  • Ensure new and updated products comply with engineering specifications and are ready for manufacturing.
  • Review and execute test plans, identify necessary instrumentation, and analyze results.
  • Prepare technical summary reports to communicate findings and insights.
  • Conduct field commissioning and validate software updates prior to product delivery.
  • Assist engineering teams in leading field initiatives and developing technical documentation.
  • Utilize troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical issues and maintain documentation.
  • Diagnose system-level problems using vendor-specific diagnostic tools.
  • Enhance testing procedures for improved reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Facilitate the implementation of new processes for efficiency and product enhancement.
  • Develop and deliver training programs at the factory or customer locations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is required; a focus on Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in field technical services.
  • Previous experience in diagnostic test engineering is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electrification products and driveline components is a plus.
  • Experience with CANalyzer and its functionalities is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
