Job Description

Teledyne FLIR LLC is seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing of vacuum envelope mechanical sub-assemblies and final assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect all levels of assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Build assemblies using small hand tools, microscopes, and other measuring equipment
  • Ensure production flow meets weekly schedule requirements
Requirements:
  • Self-starter with ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods
  • Experience with small parts, small hand tools, and microscopes
  • Prior blueprint and procedures reading experience
  • Attentiveness to details with a strong desire for precision and accuracy
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from management and engineering staff
  • Ability to lift 5 to 20 lbs
Preferred Skills:
  • Tig welding and Bell Jar brazing experience
  • Clean room experience and knowledge of Foreign Object Debris (FOD control)
  • Ability or prior experience of reading Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
