Job Title: Quality Control Coordinator

Central Garden & Pet Company is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Coordinator to join our team. As a Quality Control Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor processes, conduct inspections and audits, and ensure adherence to established quality standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Regularly review current practices against Work Instructions (WI) and report any inconsistencies for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct direct observations of front-line QC staff to ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being followed correctly.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years food safety experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • PCQI, HACCP certification a plus.
  • Previous experience in quality control or quality assurance roles, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Attention to detail and a strong ability to calmly escalate issues that arise for correct action.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in using quality control software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance related to quality control and quality assurance.
