Role Summary:

We are eager to expand our Environmental team, focusing on both environmental compliance and site investigation/remediation. The ideal candidate will oversee environmental assessment and remediation initiatives and/or compliance projects.

In this role, the new team member will act as a local and regional technical advisor for junior personnel throughout North Carolina.

The right individual will spearhead marketing initiatives, nurture existing and new client relationships, prepare proposals, cost estimates, and reports, and mentor field staff and project professionals.

The successful candidate may either be highly specialized in one or more of the following service areas or have comprehensive experience and regulatory knowledge across several of them.


  • Contamination Assessment
  • Remediation Strategies
  • Innovative Remedial Solutions
  • Compliance (Air Permitting, Stormwater/SWPPP, RCRA/Hazardous Waste, SPCC Plans, etc.)


To thrive in this position, you will need to demonstrate confidence and possess a robust technical background along with proven leadership capabilities.

Your responsibilities will include managing projects, preparing reports and other deliverables, and reviewing documents created by others for accuracy, completeness, and quality in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand and enhance existing environmental services
  • Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals, and other deliverables
  • Oversee projects and personnel to ensure quality and timeliness
  • Understand the local and regional market dynamics
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with clients
  • Develop proposals in response to RFPs and client inquiries
  • Contribute to the formulation of local and regional marketing strategies
  • Support safety initiatives to promote adherence to safety protocols
  • Assess challenges and devise practical solutions that enable our clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related scientific discipline
Master's degree or PhD preferred.
A minimum of 9+ years of relevant experience. Alternatively, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience.
Certification in the area of expertise is required.
A valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.
