Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Senior Surgical Consultant to join our expanding team. This role will focus on supporting Cardiac Surgeons and Heart Failure Cardiologists across the United States, leveraging our innovative Impella product line to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive training and education on the Impella 5.5 with SmartAssist to combined CT/Heart Failure programs.
  • Engage deeply with clinical teams to ensure optimal patient selection and surgical support.
  • Collaborate with Medical Office and Engineering teams to facilitate EFS/PMA efforts and support the commercialization of advanced surgical technologies.
  • Offer device expertise and support for the Impella 5.0/LD to drive adoption of our full product portfolio.
  • Deliver clinical and technical guidance on the Breethe Oxy-1 system to assist with device integration and application expansion.
  • Participate in the launch and training of combined Surgical/Heart Failure programs.
  • Work closely with various internal teams including Commercial, Training, Engineering, and Clinical to ensure alignment and success.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers to assess their clinical and educational needs.
  • Conduct training sessions on the complete Impella Surgical Device lineup.
  • Establish strong relationships with strategic partners and key opinion leaders in the field.
  • Provide insights to management regarding clinical results and sales performance.
  • Engage with Cardiac Surgeons, Heart Failure Cardiologists, and other medical teams during major conferences and symposiums.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; relevant licensure such as RNFA, NP, PA, or Perfusionist is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in Cardiac Surgery/Perfusion.
  • Experience in patient management within a cardiothoracic ICU or CVOR setting is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac surgery protocols and confidence in the operating room is required.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across multiple regions is necessary.
  • Prior experience with Abiomed or similar cardiac medical devices is highly desirable.
  • Ability to drive positive patient outcomes is crucial.
  • Compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing the medical device industry is mandatory.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license is required.
