Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RN Lung Cancer Screening Navigator to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive timely and effective care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient eligibility for lung cancer screenings and ensure they meet necessary criteria
  • Track follow-up appointments and results, working closely with providers to provide timely interventions and support
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions
  • Develop and implement patient-centered care plans to address barriers to access and improve health outcomes
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health literacy and self-advocacy
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • 1 year of direct experience in a healthcare setting
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or eligibility for reciprocal agreement
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

This is a sedentary role that requires occasional walking and standing. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
