Graphic Design Adjunct Faculty Opportunity

Ferris State University is seeking a highly qualified Graphic Design Adjunct Faculty member to join our team in the College of Business. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of graphic designers, user experience/user interface (ux/ui) designers, and brand identity designers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Incorporate design foundations, industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies into course content.
  • Deliver engaging hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity, critical thinking, and technical proficiency.
  • Enhance learning outcomes through regular assessment and collaboration with program faculty.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in design, visual communication, interaction design, or a related field and 5 years of recent design industry experience within the last 10 years.
  • Master's degree in design or a related field, and 2 years of recent design industry experience within the last 5 years.
  • Evidence of contemporary industry practice within the last 5 years.
  • Teaching experience at the college level or professional training/mentoring experience, ideally with online teaching platforms and delivery methods.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree (MA, MFA, MS, MDes, DMBA, MBA) in design or a closely related field.
  • Teaching experience at the college level or professional training/mentoring experience with online teaching platforms and delivery methods.
