Job Title: Adjunct Instructor 1

Ferris State University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor 1 to teach HVACR courses on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of the HVACR program.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach HVACR courses, including lectures and labs, in a face-to-face, blended, or online environment.
  • Develop and implement course materials, assessments, and evaluations to ensure student learning outcomes.
  • Provide academic advising and support to students, including office hours and consultation.
  • Participate in program development, curriculum revision, and accreditation processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of the HVACR program.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in HVACR or a closely related field.
  • Master's degree or higher in HVACR or a closely related field, or a bachelor's degree with 18 graduate hours in HVACR.
  • 5 years of relevant industry experience, or 7 years of relevant industry experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to teach in a face-to-face, blended, or online environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in HVACR or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of HVACR industry standards and best practices.
