Job Title: Adjunct Instructor 1 - Automotive Engineering Technology

Ferris State University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor 1 - Automotive Engineering Technology to join our team. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching AAS degree level coursework in the College of Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Auto Service courses
  • Responsible for teaching Auto Service course objectives according to established guidelines
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, Mitchel on Demand and All Data
  • Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members
Requirements:
  • Qualification by Credential: The standard to teach college credit courses at the associate degree level (1xx, 2xx) shall be the bachelor's (or higher) degree in field, or closely related area
  • Qualification by Tested Experience: a bachelor's degree or higher out of field and an associate's degree in field and five (5) years of relevant industry experience; or a bachelor's degree out of field and seven (7) years of relevant industry experience; or an associate's degree in field and seven (7) years of relevant industry experience
  • Appropriate ASE certifications based on content of course taught
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous Career and Technical Education teaching experience
  • Previous college teaching experience
