About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist Level II to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic, fluoroscopy, and c-arm procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proficiently perform radiologic procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Identify patients, label images, and process radiographs, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Assist and communicate with radiologists, working independently and collaboratively with other departments.
  • Prepare and maintain records, entering patient and study information into the radiology information system.
  • Serve as a technical resource and preceptor for students and staff, promoting education and professional development.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced training beyond high school in radiologic technology.
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in a radiologic technologist role.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to stand/walk for the majority of the day and lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist. May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids.
