About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Water Resources Specialist to join our team in Centreville, Virginia. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering water resources engineering projects for transportation infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering and design functions requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories of fluid mechanics, hydrology, and hydraulics engineering
  • Assist in-field inspections and the preparation of inspection reports
  • Design drainage systems for transportation and related infrastructure
  • Analyze storm drain and open channel systems
  • Conduct hydrology and hydraulics analysis
  • Design stormwater management systems and green infrastructure
  • Analyze bridge scour and erosion control measures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years' experience with drainage design, water resources engineering, and related functions
  • Proficiency with MicroStation required
  • Knowledge of Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) requirements preferred
  • EIT certification required for entry-level engineers
