Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

At Ansible Government Solutions, we are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support operations at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients, working independently with minimal supervision, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
", "Responsibilities": "- Acquire, process, and transmit diagnostic images for Nuclear Medicine physician interpretation
- Perform procedures involving the production of organ maps of distribution of radioactivity following administration to patients
- Set up and calibrate imaging equipment and instruments daily, ensuring performance and reliability prior to patient studies
- Complete patient prep, data acquisition, processing, analysis, and computer transmission to the core facility
- Completion of a CHEA- and JCERT-accredited Technologist training program
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT (N))
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- A minimum of two (2) years of proven clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine Imaging in a Level 1 hospital setting
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
