About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Stanford Health Care. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in instructing residents and other technologists in Nuclear Medicine procedures and protocols.
  • Calibrate and prepare radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients.
  • Evaluate recorded images for technical quality and formulate radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits.
  • Monitor supplies and equipment to ensure compliance with State and Federal Agencies.
  • Perform a full range of nuclear medicine prescribed imaging techniques and measurements used in medical diagnosis and evaluation.
  • Prepare and maintain records concerning radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing, and disposal activities.
  • Process computerized image data to include function curves and reconstructed SPECT images and accurately transfer images to the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS).
  • Serve as a team leader with staff and set goals to move the section/unit to be a more effective unit.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for providers issued by the American Heart Association.
  • California Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT-RHN) certification.
  • One of the following certifications: Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT-RHN) by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
