Job Title: Scientific Liaison Specialist in Gastroenterology and Hepatology

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Scientific Liaison to join our team at Mirum Pharmaceuticals. As a Scientific Liaison, you will establish and maintain relationships with key thought leaders and healthcare professionals in gastroenterology and hepatology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with thought leaders and healthcare professionals in gastroenterology and hepatology
  • Serve as a scientific resource in medical affairs and clinical development activities, including research initiatives, clinical trial recruitment, and medical congress engagement
  • Identify and develop professional relationships with thought leaders, study investigators, and professional organizations
  • Support research initiatives and provide support to study site investigators
  • Act as a liaison between healthcare professionals and Mirum to facilitate review and consideration of research proposals
  • Engage in scientific exchange in response to thought leader requests
  • Provide education on adult and pediatric liver disease and Mirum's products
  • Communicate thought leader insights to medical affairs and clinical development on a timely basis
  • Effectively articulate scientific and clinical information to healthcare professionals and researchers
  • Deliver impactful presentations to varying audiences
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging scientific literature and clinical trial data in gastroenterology and hepatology

Requirements:

  • An advanced science or clinical degree (e.g., MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, NP, PA)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison in gastroenterology, hepatology, and/or rare disease
  • Established relationships with gastroenterology and/or hepatology thought leaders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and ability to travel frequently

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 depending on location and experience.
