Job Summary

Redner's Markets is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Regional Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for detecting, reporting, and resolving matters related to theft and asset loss in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveillance to detect internal and external theft and handle situations in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform routine inspections of facilities to maintain physical security and protect assets.
  • Monitor closed-circuit television systems, if applicable.
  • Enforce company standards related to security and loss prevention procedures.
  • Conduct daily store audits to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct weekly receiving audits to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct weekly out-of-code audits to identify and address discrepancies.
  • Conduct employee interviews, as instructed by the Director of Security and Loss Prevention.
  • Represent the company in court, as needed, and report dispositions of all cases.
  • Report policy violations to the Store Director and Director of Security and Loss Prevention.
  • Maintain and submit all necessary documentation, including apprehension reports, employee warnings, audits, and weekly reports.
  • Maintain and submit documentation related to hours worked and mileage reimbursement.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Security and Loss Prevention.
  • Represent Redner's Markets in a professional manner and set an example for all associates to follow.
  • Abide by and enforce all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
Requirements
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to perceive situations accurately and make sound judgments.
  • Ability to maintain a fair and consistent set of standards, using discretion and judgment.
  • Ability to maintain records and documentation accurately.
  • Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Ability to work alone or in a team capacity.
  • Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to travel between stores within a region, possessing a valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform all functions of the job.
  • Must have a full understanding of civil and criminal laws as set forth by the police and/or district justice.
