About the Role

In this role, you will be an advocate and coach for the mobile team while solving various mobile challenges, doing hands-on coding, and scaling product success at a fast-paced start-up. Our ideal candidate leverages their leadership, technical expertise, and passion to multiply the overall output of their development team.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • 4+ years of working experience in iOS and/or Android product development
  • Deep understanding of iOS development and best practices in Objective-C and/or Swift and UI development in iOS and/or deep understanding of Android development and best practices in Kotlin/Java and UI development in Android
  • Know-how around building and maintaining automated deployment pipelines
  • Experience working closely with product teams, designers, and other developers to create a truly delightful mobile experience
  • Own and contribute to each step of the product development process
  • Experience developing highly performant code and view layouts
  • A disciplined approach to development, testing, documentation, and code structure
  • An excellent approach to guiding, influencing, and growing other mobile engineers and teams
  • A familiarity with the iOS or Android tool ecosystem
  • An excellent understanding of standard methodologies for concurrency and threading
What We're Looking For
  • Knowledge of multi-threading, logging, memory management, caching, and builds on iOS and Android
  • Expertise in developing and debugging across a diverse service stack
  • Demonstrated track record of improving software quality with stable releases
  • Experience on platform teams/initiatives, driving technology adoption across feature teams
  • Keeps up to date with new technologies to understand what should be incorporated
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Understanding of A/B testing in a mobile environment
