Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled ER Technician to join our team at Sharon Hospital. As an ER Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our emergency department team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses and physicians with patient assessments, examinations, and treatment.
- Provide general nursing care, including positioning, lifting, turning, and assisting with ambulation.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and other medical procedures as needed.
- Monitor stock and restock supplies in the emergency department.
- Transport patients and supplies to diagnostic departments and nursing units.
- Prepare patients for meals and assist as necessary.
- Participate in continuing education and departmental in-service meetings.
- Document patient care and procedures performed.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience as EMT or CNA/PCT or Medical Assistant.
- Current BLS Certification (highly desirable).
- Medical terminology.
Sharon Hospital, 50 Hospital Hill Road, Sharon, CT.
Work SchedulePart-time, 32 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that includes every other weekend and holiday.
