Nuvance Health is seeking a highly skilled ER Technician to join our team at Sharon Hospital. As an ER Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the emergency department team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage medical emergencies under the supervision of on or off-line medical control.
- Assist with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under the direct supervision of the ED Registered Nurse.
- Recognize and report appropriate data to the registered nurse.
- Assist registered nurse and physicians with assessments, examinations, and treatment.
- Provide general nursing care – positioning, lifting, turning, and assisting with ambulation.
- Perform other duties as in-service, including crutch walking, dressing changes, and assisting physician with splint or cast application, application of ace bandages and strapping devices.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience as EMT or CNA/PCT or Medical Assistant.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Current EMT- Basic or Paramedic Licenses.
- Medical terminology.
