Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled ER Technician to join our team in the Emergency Department at Sharon Hospital. As an ER Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical team in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage medical emergencies under the supervision of on or off-line medical control.
- Assist patients with positioning, lifting, turning, and ambulation.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and intake/output.
- Respond to patient and visitor questions and needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare rooms between patients and procedures, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with the preparation of equipment for procedures and obtain IV supplies as needed.
- Transport patients and supplies to diagnostic departments and nursing units.
- Participate in continuing education and departmental in-service meetings to enhance professional growth and development.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience as EMT or CNA/PCT or Medical Assistant.
- Current BLS Certification (highly desirable).
- Current EMT-Basic or Paramedic Licenses (highly desirable).
This is a part-time position working 32 hours per week, with a standard schedule of 4 eight-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills.
