Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Phoenix Children's Hospital. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our respiratory care services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, from neonates to adolescents, using a wide range of techniques and equipment.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans, taking into account patient needs, medical history, and treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care, including physicians, nurses, and other respiratory therapists.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care techniques, technologies, and research, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, using clear and concise language to explain complex respiratory care concepts.
  • Document patient care and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in respiratory therapy or a related field.
  • Current certification as a respiratory therapist (CRT) or registered respiratory therapist (RRT).
  • Experience working in a pediatric or neonatal setting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and position patients, as well as use respiratory care equipment safely and effectively.
