Emergency Room ER Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital's Level III Trauma Center in the Emergency Department.

About the RoleThis position requires a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's Degree preferred. One year experience in Emergency services is preferred, but not required. As a Registered Nurse (RN) at our hospital, you will provide direct, fast, skilled care to patients experiencing life's worst moments.
Responsibilities- You will administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Licensed a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
