Position Overview: The Surgical Technician plays a crucial role in the operating room by demonstrating essential knowledge and skills in the scrub role, which is vital for assisting during surgical operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain aseptic technique and prepare necessary equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies for assigned surgical cases.
- Scrub in and pass instruments and equipment during surgical procedures.
- Manage case preparation and breakdown post-procedure.
- Set up the operating room and ensure all supplies are ready for the current and following day's schedule.
- Be available for on-call duties as required by unit needs.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor when necessary.

Qualifications:
- Education: Required: Graduate of a surgical technician program as mandated by state regulations or facility policy.
- Experience: Preferred: At least 1 year of experience as a surgical technician.
- Certifications: Required: BLS. Preferred: Surgical Technology Certification.
