Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at Goodwill of North Georgia. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining control of all new goods inventory and compiling inventory data to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately
  • Monitor and document inventory levels, including shortages and/or damages on incoming inventory
  • Track orders and process incoming new goods orders accurately to ensure timely delivery/fulfillment of store requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and a high level of safety in the warehouse
  • Will travel to store locations to assist with merchandising as needed
  • Assist with reporting inventory levels of individual product SKUs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
  • Must pass an MVR
  • Possess effective interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Working Environment Conditions:
    • Able to start employment in acceptable safety work shoes
    • Able to work in all types of conditions, including heat, cold, and dust
    • Able to operate a Van or Box Truck to commute between locations
    • Able to meet all physical requirements to perform the duties of the position, including the ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time, as well as the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs with or without accommodation
    • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends
