Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant - Patient Care Specialist works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a physician, performing various tasks to ensure the personal needs and comforts of patients are met. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign measurements, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist with medical procedures, such as phlebotomy and EKGs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • 2 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm; Saturday-Sunday, 8am-4pm; variable shifts may be required.
