As a Convenience Store Sales Associate, you will oversee daily operations and must possess flexible availability to meet business needs. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, motivated, and focused on success. You should handle unexpected challenges with clarity and maintain a positive demeanor. Dependability and a friendly attitude are essential for thriving in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:

  • Warmly greet customers upon arrival and express gratitude as they depart.
  • Maintain a positive and approachable communication style.
  • Adapt your communication to suit the audience's needs.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and requests.
  • May assist with fuel services as needed.

Operational Duties:

  • Process various payment methods and ensure cash drawer accuracy.
  • Operate registers and credit card processing equipment.
  • Prepare cash for daily deposits.
  • Manage store inventory and restock shelves as necessary.
  • Handle food preparation and maintain cleanliness of food service areas.
  • Perform routine maintenance on beverage machines to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure public restrooms are clean and well-maintained.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify the store's culture and core values through your actions.
  • Remain calm and professional under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in fast food, retail, or convenience sectors.
  • Stable employment history.
  • Reliable and punctual, ready to contribute from day one.
  • Prior experience as a cashier.
  • Strong communication skills; proficiency in English is required.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends and evenings.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
