Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Treatment Engineer to join our Global Facilities Technology Team at Micron Technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality engineering services and specifications for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of our ultra-pure water systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Plan Systems and Buildings
    • Develop and implement safe and efficient system designs for ultra-pure water treatment and distribution
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain equipment and component specifications and standards
    • Ensure material compatibility and compliance with industry standards and regulations
    • Review and validate capacity planning databases and system status presentations
    • Provide technical support and guidance to sites on system design and capacity planning
  • Provide Project Support
    • Develop and manage project plans and schedules for ultra-pure water system installations and upgrades
    • Collaborate with design firms and construction teams to ensure compliance with Micron's specifications and standards
    • Provide technical support and guidance to sites on project execution and commissioning
    • Ensure timely review and approval of design packages and construction documents
  • Provide Technical Support, Leadership, and Expertise
    • Provide technical leadership and support to operations and maintenance teams on ultra-pure water system operations and maintenance
    • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance system efficiency and reduce maintenance costs
    • Collaborate with procurement teams to develop and implement vendor qualification and selection processes
    • Conduct risk and failure mode and effects analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in ultra-pure water treatment and industrial wastewater treatment
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to prioritize and schedule workload and work on multiple tasks concurrently
    • Self-motivated and results-driven individual
