Job Summary

Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for organizing and conducting physical therapy programs to facilitate the rehabilitation of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement physical therapy programs under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and developing Physical Therapy services to meet the needs of our residents.
  • Perform treatment programs for assigned residents, including entering billing information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Report resident progress in meetings and consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities.
  • Provide residents with equipment as appropriate and chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner.
  • Perform routine documentation as required and cooperate with all departments and staff to promote optimal resident care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant, PTA.
  • Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA; license in good standing.
  • Previous skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion.
  • Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but not mandated.
