Key Responsibilities- Organize and conduct physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation of residents with decreased functions.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing Physical Therapy services under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- Perform treatment programs for assigned residents, ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care.
- Enter billing information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Report resident progress in meetings and consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities.
- Provide residents with equipment as appropriate and chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner.
- Cooperate with all departments and staff to promote optimal resident care.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant; license in good standing.
- Previous skilled nursing facility experience highly preferred.
- Ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion.
