About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Director to lead our Transportation Planning, Environmental Planning, and Communications Teams. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving growth and development within the group, establishing priorities, and assigning staff to projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direction and supervision of the development, monitoring, and management of operating budgets for departments within the group
  • Oversight of group activities, establishment of priorities, and assignment of staff to projects
  • Collaboration with other groups, offices, and divisions on work-sharing needs and opportunities
  • Implementation of the firm's strategic plan and SSA process on project pursuits and markets
  • Implementation of the firm's contracting (SCA) process through project delivery and contracting activities
  • Implementation of the firm's project delivery (SDA) process, including work planning, monthly project reviews, and other project performance methods
  • Assistance in marketing responsibilities, including client discovery, proposal generation, interviews, and win-to-work activities
  • Maintenance of client contacts to ensure client satisfaction
  • Leadership and assistance in sales and marketing efforts for department growth
  • Assistance in the development and execution of the office strategic plan
  • Participation in the Office Leadership Team (OLT)
  • Recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of department staff within the group
  • Project delivery, including management of assigned project management activities and performance of technical discipline tasks
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Engineering, Geology, Biology, Environmental Science, Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field
  • 12 years of relevant experience, including 4 years of supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with project and program-level communications
  • Experience with project predevelopment activities, including transportation planning and environmental planning
