Position Overview

The Corporate Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the finance and accounting operations primarily for the Corporate entity, while also providing support across Cadrex when necessary. A significant aspect of this role involves overseeing cash management functions throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cash Management Support: Aid in maintaining banking records associated with ZBA transactions.
  • Accounts Receivable Oversight: Regularly assess enterprise-wide accounts receivable for overdue customer payments and collaborate with site finance teams for resolution.
  • Accounts Payable Management: Conduct weekly reviews of enterprise-wide accounts payable and recommend disbursements. Monitor and support corporate fuel and credit card programs.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Corporate entity.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update Corporate general ledger accounts and prepare or post Corporate journal entries.
  • Reconciliation Duties: Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, reconcile Corporate bank statements, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to GAAP and company policies.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements to boost efficiency and accuracy, and assist in developing departmental policies and procedures.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake other related tasks as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Education

A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

Work Environment

This position is onsite and follows a Monday to Friday schedule.
