Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough examinations of prepared cytological slides to identify any abnormalities.
  • Accurately report negative Pap Test results and escalate abnormal findings to pathologists for further evaluation.
  • May interpret Non-GYN specimens and communicate findings to pathologists for conclusive diagnosis.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of the number of slides reviewed and the time spent on examinations.
  • Operate effectively in a dynamic laboratory setting, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Champion compliance and quality control measures within the laboratory.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited cytology program.
  • Cytotechnologist certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using laboratory equipment and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience:

  • At least 2 years of relevant laboratory training or experience.
