Cytology Laboratory Technician - Castro Street

Job Responsibilities
  • Integrate knowledge, theory, and practice to properly execute procedures in assigned areas of the laboratory.
  • Deliver accurate results in a timely manner.
  • Maintain competence in all Cytology practices to perform pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic procedures on biological specimens.
  • Aid healthcare providers in the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of disease.
  • Screen up to 80 GYN specimens per day.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
  • ASCP-Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology as a Cytologist (CT).
  • CDPH-Licensure by the California Department of Public Health as a Cytotechnologist (CLM/CTT).
  • 2 years recent relevant experience.
Work Environment
  • Shift: 5 x 8 Days M - F.
  • No weekend or on-call requirements.
