As an Automotive Service Consultant, you will play a vital role in our service department, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service and support. You will act as the primary point of contact between our valued customers and our skilled technicians, facilitating effective communication and ensuring that vehicles are serviced efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Listen attentively to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Provide clear explanations of recommended services and repairs.
- Communicate estimated costs and secure customer approval for services.
- Manage appointment scheduling and service bay availability.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely repair completion.
- Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles throughout the service process.
- Provide accurate timelines for repairs and notify customers of any delays.
- Maintain detailed service records for each customer.
- Prepare and explain invoices, detailing services performed.
- Process payments and address any billing inquiries.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and resolve any concerns.
- Address customer complaints or issues in a prompt and professional manner.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and services.
- Educate customers on maintenance schedules and recommended services.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Service Advisor in a dealership setting.
- General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
- ASE certification is preferred.
- Sales experience is a plus.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
