Job Summary:This position is responsible for conducting outreach to businesses, gathering job information, and presenting a plan recommending the hiring of an individual that meets the needs of the employer and utilizes the strengths and abilities of the job seeker.
Key Responsibilities:- Gather and complete information needed for referrals to the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR)
- Conduct outreach to businesses and gather job information through a needs analysis
- Present a plan recommending the hiring of an individual that meets the needs of the employer and utilizes the strengths and abilities of the job seeker
- Provide initial on-the-job training and coaching to the individual placed regarding work tasks, schedules, employer rules, work facilities, and workplace culture
- Develop an individual long-term support plan identifying natural supports at the business
- Maintain up-to-date employer contact information
- Complete required documentation daily
- High School diploma or equivalent, minimum age 18 and a minimum of two years' experience with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of job development best practices based on consultative sales model
- Knowledge of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation system and requirements
- Knowledge of basic computers and technology
- Knowledge of community resources (social, public agency, and information) in order to assist clients in accessing these resources
- Background in sales and or marketing
- Prior experience in job development and placement with the Developmentally Disabled population
- Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) certification
$19.00 to $20.71/hr
