">This role requires a Registered Nurse with expertise in providing high-quality patient-centered care to adult and geriatric populations on the 2 East-Oncology unit. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to effectively manage patients' needs.
">About the Role
">The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of patients' conditions and care needs, including psychosocial, physical, educational, and cultural aspects. They will also demonstrate knowledge of antineoplastic therapy, its effects, side effects, risks, and benefits.
">Key Responsibilities

- Perform population-specific comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of patients' conditions and care needs.">
- Develop and revise individualized plans of care based on assessment and patient response to treatment.">
- Follow evidence-based nursing standards and guidelines for medication management and patient safety.">
- Provide education to patients and families regarding pain management and other healthcare topics.">
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of the nursing process and patient responses to care.">
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care transitions.">
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- ">
- A graduate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.">
- Current licensure in the state of Connecticut.">
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) upon hire or within the new employee introductory orientation period.">
- Basic computer skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.">
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.">
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.">
Compensation
">We offer a competitive salary of $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS # $104,000 per year, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. The position includes training opportunities for new graduates and ensures adherence to evidence-based nursing standards.
