Oncology Nurse Specialist

As a Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Oncology Unit, you will play a critical role in delivering compassionate and personalized care to individuals with solid tumor cancers, hematologic cancers, and benign hematologic conditions.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and empathetic Registered Nurse to join our team. In this full-time position, you will provide necessary assessments, administer treatments, and communicate effectively with patient care providers to develop a tailored plan for each patient's needs.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and promote positive outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and education
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account the unique needs and preferences of each patient
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions of care
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A current license as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related field
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
