About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our members, ensuring their vehicles are repaired and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member Service
    • Interact with members to determine their perceived auto repair needs and provide exceptional customer service.
    • Accurately document repairs, diagnostic, and maintenance work into our shop management system.
    • Ensure all necessary BAR requirements are met in Repair Order preparation and documentation.
  • Parts Sourcing and Estimating
    • Source and estimate all needed parts for repairs to customer vehicles.
    • Suggest repairs for safety and improved performance, and help prioritize for customers in order of importance (safety, economy, longevity, etc.).
  • Review and Explanation
    • Review all repairs made to vehicles at point of sale and assure customers have a clear understanding of repairs performed throughout all phases of the transaction.
  • Administrative Functions
    • Perform minimal record keeping and other administrative functions required to support the business.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma or equivalent certification (GED).
    • 3-5 years industry experience in auto repair.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Effective organization, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work scheduled hours as necessitated by business need.
    • Strong math and computer skills with experience using software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, browsers, and email).
    • Strong member service focus.
    • Automotive/mechanical background.
    • Ability to drive vehicles equipped with manual transmission.
    • Knowledge of equipment/tool operation and diagnostic/repair procedures.
  • Work Environment/Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 40lbs.
    • Standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, reaching, lifting, climbing ladders.
