Job Title: Automotive Mechanic

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair customer vehicles efficiently and effectively, adhering to MAP guidelines and dealership standards.
  • Communicate technical information to non-mechanical individuals, including store managers, service consultants, and customers.
  • Recommend necessary services to maintain vehicles in running condition, documenting recommendations in customer files.
  • Follow safety procedures and report concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
  • Maintain ASE certifications and renewals as required.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training.
  • Possess a current, valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work a minimum of five days.

Working Conditions:

The Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and walk to access various areas of the building.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly throughout the day, with full range of motion in arms and hands, and ability to feel, handle, or finger objects frequently.
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Hear and speak.
  • Have vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus.
