Job Overview:

Medvacon Life Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Control Technician to join our team. As a Senior Quality Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing lot release testing, recording data, summarizing results, and analyzing data to ensure compliance with industry regulations. You will also assist Quality Engineers with data gathering and analysis, and perform receiving inspection activities on incoming materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory Work: Perform laboratory tests, maintain cleanliness of QC areas, and handle materials properly.
  • Data Analysis: Record data on data sheets, summarize results, analyze data, and perform basic statistical analysis when required.
  • Material Inspection: Perform receiving inspection activities on incoming materials, including confirming specifications, visual examination, and variable measurements.
  • Documentation: Document inspection results by completing reports, logs, and inputting data into databases.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in Quality System Improvements through the CAPA process, suggest activities for continuous improvement, and propose procedures modifications as appropriate.
  • Communication: Interface with suppliers regarding lot release and related issues, collaborate with engineers on developing new lab procedures/methods, and facilitate data collection for performance metrics.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership/mentorship to other members of the QC team, including training of new team members during onboarding.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum high school education, two years vocational technical training or eight years applicable experience and knowledge preferred.
  • Experience: Eight years of experience working in a quality control role with ISO and GMP systems and requirements.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
