We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Assistant Unit Chief to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. This full-time position will provide clinical-administrative support with the coordination and management of mental healthcare delivery in buildings with a high concentration of mental health therapeutic housing units.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Psychology or Social Work, and at least two years of clinical experience working with individuals with mental illness. Additionally, they should have at least one year of supervisory experience with mental health personnel.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the daily management of facility operations and mental health programming, tracking patient location, and overseeing the reporting of suicide watches and census. They will also support the implementation and completion of mental health programs and suicide watch rounds on all therapeutic housing units.
Key qualifications include excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines.
