Position Overview

The Buyer/Planner is an integral part of our operations team, responsible for managing material procurement and scheduling production orders to fulfill customer demands effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and source the necessary materials and services to meet organizational needs, collaborating with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and coordinate the purchase and delivery of goods.
  • Plan and schedule the arrival of materials to ensure timely kitting for production work orders, balancing raw materials and finished goods to guarantee on-time shipments to customers.
  • Engage with internal teams to ensure a clear understanding of customer requirements and the availability of all essential materials and services for production.
  • Maintain accurate records of quotes and standard cost data for all procured materials and services.
  • Oversee supplier performance, providing monthly reports on quality and on-time delivery metrics.
  • Manage the hazardous waste cabinet and maintain appropriate logs.
Qualifications:
  • Detail-oriented and highly motivated individual with a positive demeanor, reliability, quick learning ability, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in technology manufacturing or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel is essential.
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
Fluency in English is required, and military veterans are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
