The Property Book Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of equipment and supplies within the organization. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and control property within designated areas of responsibility.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
- Develop and implement effective inventory management systems to minimize losses and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with facility coordinators and other stakeholders to resolve logistical issues and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Prepare and submit reports on property utilization, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics.
- Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained, calibrated, and stored to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Provide training and support to colleagues on inventory management and property accountability procedures.
- Three years' experience in supply management, inventory control, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Army automated logistical systems (GCSS-A or other DoD equivalent).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid U.S. State-issued driver's license for passenger cars and trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26,000 lbs. or less.
- US Citizen.
- Possess or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance applicable to the position and/or military Common Access Card (CAC) within 30 days if required.
- Prior Military experience.
- Must be able to travel to perform logistical inventories and inspections. Travel may be up to 20% of the time.
- Subject to mandatory drug testing as required.
- May be required to handle equipment/supplies weighing up to 50 pounds individually and occasionally items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
- Able to exert moderate physical effort in the loading, unloading, and arranging of equipment/supplies as applicable to position.
- Ability to work inside and/or outside in dirty and dusty environments, and occasionally be exposed to hot, cold, damp, and drafty weather conditions while handling equipment/supplies.
- Able to perform work on hard or uneven surfaces.
