Job Summary

Warn Industries Inc. is seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating hand welding equipment to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MIG welders to perform singular welds with minimal passes and long passes without stopping.
  • Rough cut and operate orbital sanders to achieve precise results.
  • Work from blueprints or verbalized instructions to ensure accurate production.
  • Conduct quality checks to verify measurements and adhere to process standards.
  • Rotate into other positions within the company as required to meet production demands.
  • Ensure prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
  • Implement quality policies and procedures in daily duties and responsibilities.
  • Assist in preventative maintenance tasks and shop clean-up.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of experience in fabrication and MIG welding preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic reading, writing, and advanced math skills.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and weld call-outs.
  • Good mechanical aptitude demonstrated in previous fabrication operations or similar activities.
  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive motion activities for extended periods.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Ability to repetitively lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
Availability

Regular attendance is required due to the nature and scope of the essential functions of this position. Approximately 40 hours/week is required to efficiently perform the job duties, including presence at designated internal and external meetings. This position may also require availability and accessibility to respond to and address emergencies and critical situations outside of normal business operating hours.

Available Shifts:

  • 1st shift - Monday to Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm, with occasional overtime.
  • 3rd shift - Sunday to Friday 9:30pm – 6:00am, with occasional overtime.
Language Skills

Ability to read, write, verbalize, and comprehend instructions and correspondence at the highest levels in the English language. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other team members. Strong conflict resolution skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Mathematical Skills

Must have mathematical skills equivalent to those required under degree requirements. Higher skills may be required depending on actual job duties.

Physical and Visual Activities

Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, balancing, stooping, reaching, handling, feeling, acuity-far, acuity-near, depth perception, and field of vision.

Physical Demands

May require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. May require lifting up to 80 pounds with assistance.

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions

Must be able to work in a shop environment, as well as a usual office environment. May be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals, and vapors.

Personal computer, fax machine, copy machine, other office equipment, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint. May minimally operate test equipment and/or basic hand tools.
